Make Disciples, Multiply Disciples - Congregational Prayer

On the first Sunday of each month we pray, as a family, for a particular aspect of the mission that God has called us to and for the people God is forming us into, by His grace. Then, throughout the month we commit to continual prayer on that particular topic. This month our prayer is that we would make and multiply disciples.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

We pray that:

We would be a People of Word & Prayer: That we would follow Jesus as He speaks to us (Word) and as we speak to Him (Prayer) in all of life, in everything.

We would grow as Families of Disciples: That we would disciple each other as a family, in community. That we would recognize that we are all priests and saints, empowered by the Spirit to make disciples.

We would be committed to the Great Commandment & Great Commission: That we would love God passionately with our heart, soul, and mind, and love each other with the overflowing love and grace of the Gospel. And that we would make disciples of all nations as we proclaim God’s love and call others to follow with us.

Please begin to pray for these things now asking God to save many as we proclaim and display the good news of Jesus.Find past Congregational Prayer content here.
