Family Worship

by Heather ThompsonHi Moms & Dads, and welcome to our first post of 2016. I wanted to start our year by giving you a handful of practical tools for at-home discipleship and encouragement.

Family Worship 101

Donald S. Whitney has put together a five-day, free email course that will help coach you (both dad and mom) with leading your family in Bible reading, prayer, and song with your kids. No matter the age of your kiddos – from newborn to high school – it’s never too early and not too late to start these habits. And I can promise: you’ll never regret it. He’s also written a book called Family Worship that’s available on Amazon.

For Dads

Don’t Waste Your Fathering by Ray Ortlund. "May we fathers be faithful moment by moment to pursue our high calling, by God’s grace and for his glory, and for the eternal happiness of our children."

For Moms

Motherhood is a Calling by Rachel Jankovic. “Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for.”

The Gospel Project for Kids

The Big Picture Cards for Families (click for at-home games if you’re struggling with how to use them at home) from our classroom curriculum are being passed out on Sundays.Family App includes songs, music and games for interactive content during the week.No more excuses, friends! You can do this!
